ISP, a worldwide leading engine and vehicle testing laboratory, announced the results of testing the samples of LUKOIL GENESIS VN 5W-30 motor oil used in the unique Magadan – Lisbon rally run.
On July 7, 2016, the world famous driver Rainer Zietlow and his team Challenge4 set another world record with their diesel-powered VW Touareg V6 TDI off-roader by completing the 15,200-kilometer trip from Magadan to Lisbon in 6 days, 9 hours and 38 minutes. During the entire trip, a number of motor products were tested, including LUKOIL GENESIS VN 5W-30 that has VW 504 00 / 507 00 approval.
The test of the LUKOIL GENESIS sample, which had been taken after 10,000 kilometers of the route, confirmed the product’s excellent properties. The metal content in this sample revealed that the engine wear was 25 percent less compared to the previously used foreign top-brand oil. Its protective functions also demonstrated perfect results. The base number of the motor oil remained above 50 percent from the initial figure.
“Testing our new oil during the trip largely reflected actual, harsh driving conditions in Russia characterized by complex road profile, higher levels of road dust, urban driving, increased engine loads. Currently, LUKOIL GENESIS VN 5W-30 is manufactured in Europe. The successful test results strengthen our intention to start producing this oil in Russia in the nearest future,” said LUKOIL Lubricants Company General Director Maksim Donde.
